MGB Electrical stars in distribution awards

Following its most profitable year ever, Idec Electronics has recognised the efforts of its UK distributors with its inaugural distribution awards.
With Idec Electronics, the UK subsidiary for Idec Izumi, delivering its best profit performance since opening for trading in 1987, the company felt it was time to recognise and thank the efforts of its UK distributors.
A trio of awards have been developed to recognise different levels of achievement including highest turnover, largest increase in business and best newcomer.
First, in recognition for maintaining its position of highest turnover, MGB Electrical was presented with the "Top distributor" award.
MGB Electrical is a privately owned company which prides itself on a friendly and knowledgeable approach to its customers.
It is based in Tring, Buckinghamshire and alsohas a sales office located in Sutton, Surrey.
Grace Tipson, MGB's Managing Director, said: "We also acknowledge the importance of service and do our utmost to ensure our customers receive deliveries on time".
"We have two specialist areas, distribution of industrial electrical control products and also engineering Services".
The second award went to the team at TLA Distribution - the "Best growth" award.
Founded in 1998, TLA focuses its sales effort on the motor control market and associated equipment.
Tim Leverton, Managing Director, puts the company's positive result down the "execution of a successful company ethos, which is to provide the customer with a close personal service ensuring that all TLA's sales staff are product aware and have application knowledge".
The final award, "Best Newcomer", went to Controls and Automation.
New to the sales channel for Idec, Controls and Automation is an independent UK based technical distributor of control, automation and pneumatic equipment to all industries with their office located in Bristol.
The company's Sales Director, Pete Aston, comments: "Our team achieves excellence in both pneumatic and electrical disciplines and therefore are unique in the industry; with our range of abilities we offer fast, accurate and effective solutions to our customers that they can, and do rely on".
Steve Schiller, MD of Idec Electronics, adds: "Additionally I would like to pass our thanks to all of our distributors and hope we can look forward to another record breaking year for Idec in the UK".
