HMI programming software is improved

An IDEC Electronics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 8, 2007

The latest version of WindO/I HMI programming software incorporates a number of new features.

WindO/I-NV2, the programming software for Idec touchscreens has now been upgraded to version 3.30.

This provides compatibility for the new Windows Vista operating system.

Other improvements include incorporating multiple functions such as bit write, word write, goto screen command etc in one screen button, enhanced numerical input and display, alarm on/off times for the calendar, improved device browser and other lesser functions.

Drivers for other manufacturers' PLCs have always been incorporated in the software, but now user communication has been improved to the extent that protocols can be programmed to communicate with any PLC or other such host.

All customers who have WindO/I-NV2 version 2.00 and upwards can upgrade to version 3.30 free of charge by accessing the Idec website.
