IDM Electronics introduces Enduratrac, a new range of modular industrial Slip Rings Some 92 combinations in two bore sizes are available as standard with short delivery times

The Enduratrac range meets the need for reliable, quality units that offer design flexibility and lower cost.

They are designed for use where the transfer of electrical, digital and video signals or electrical power from stationary to rotating components is required.

Typical applications might include packaging equipment, inspection equipment, machine tools, CCTV cameras, index tables, rotary transfer machines, paper and film conversion machines, lighting displays, turbines and generators and a host of industrial automation equipment.

Enduratrac slip rings are available for shaft or flange mounting and offer up to 100 signal circuits of 250v/5A and 24 power circuits with a capacity of 600v/30A.

They offer full 360ø continuous rotation in either direction and are supplied with a dust cover.

There are options for sealed units, high-speed rotation and high voltage.

All units are supplied with 600 mm flying leads as standard but customers may select any connector, lead length or lead exit pattern to match their interface requirements.

Enduratrac slip rings can accommodate colour and black and white video signals, high-speed digital data up to 80 MBaud and high frequency signals up to 125 MHz.

Higher frequency options are available to increase the band width to 250 MHz and the digital speed up to 125 Mbaud.

They have been designed to minimise friction and no lubrication is required.

Various mounting kits are available making Enduratrac the most flexible slip-ring solution possible.

The major benefit to users is that whereas a specially designed slip ring may take six to eight weeks to produce, an Enduratrac unit could be up and running in one or two weeks.
