IDM Electronics has developed a new miniature version of its popular H Series range of slip-ring assemblies.
The J Series is a six-way slip ring, available in both standard or flanged versions, designed to provide a compact, reliable and cost-effective solution in a wide range of applications where space is at a premium.
At only 13.5mm long, the J Series is significantly smaller than a standard H series slip ring, and the 12.7mm diameter housing is available with an optional 41mm predrilled flange at one end, to facilitate fitting.
J Series products are supplied with 300mm flying leads as standard, but different lengths and connector options are available on request.
Reliability, longevity and compact design makes J Series products perfect for use in miniature electronic assemblies such as CCTV cameras and cable reeling machinery.
Rated at up to 2A at 240V, J Series slip rings employ the same proven slip ring technology as H Series products.
Gold plated rings, gold alloy brushes and precision ball bearings deliver reliable electrical and mechanical performance up to a maximum speed of 400rev/min and over a temperature range of -20 to +90C.
Like the H Series, all J Series slip rings are designed to perform to specification over the entire lifetime of the devices in which they are employed - typically many millions of rotations.
The J Series encapsulates IDM Electronics' 40 years of rotating interface experience into a compact, cost-effective package that can be employed in a wide variety of applications.
