Double air-operated valve for dispensing greases
Sealant Equipment and Engineering has introduced a double air-operated valve for dispensing greases or lubricants for fixtured, automated high-speed, repetitive dispensing operations.
The exact amount to be dispensed and the rate of dispense are both easy to adjust.
The Shot-A-Matic comes complete with a remote or close-mounted dispense valve which ensures precise, drip-free material cut-off at the end of each shot - no more drooling !! Dispense valves are available in various designs, including those with the Snuf-Bak feature for paste or materials with stringy consistency.
Alternatively, a No-Drip valve for lower viscosity materials.
All valves include a <" NPTF outlet that accepts a wide variety of nozzle configurations.
Shot-A-Matic systems are designed for material viscosities from 1 to more than 1,000,000 centipoise.
The Shot-A-Matic is available in two formats to suit the type of material being dispensed.
For non-abrasive and catalysed two-component materials, the Shot-A-Matic I is recommended, where Teflon V-Packed seals are used throughout - these systems can be solvent flushed !! For abrasive materials, we recommend the Shot-A-Matic II which utilises special PolyPac seals which can withstand the high wear associated with filled materials.
For multiple shot applications, for example, plate locking on multi-cell batteries, the Shot-A-Matic can be configured with multiple dispense heads to accurately dispense rapid multiple shots of material using a single metering cylinder.
Alternatively with multiple metering cylinders controlled by a single PLC, multiple shots of material can be made at the same time, for instance in potting electrical components on a production line.
