Servo-Flo 901 is an electronically controlled Meter Mix Dispense System designed for bead applications accepting either a 0-10V analogue signal for continuously variable flow rate control, or discrete interlocks to select one of multiple preset flow rates.
It also can be used for shot applications, accepting multiple preset shot profiles.
A shot profile can consist of several segment, each having its own volume and flow rate settings.
Transitions between segments within a profile are blended, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted material flow.
All shot sizes and flow rates can be adjusted on the fly through the touch screen operator electronic interface, which also provides volume monitoring, thereby verifying the amounts of material dispensed.
The digital servo drive with closed loop position ensures precision flow rate and volumes.
Typical applications include potting or encapsulation utilising a profiled flow rate - perfect where you require say a fast fill at the start and then finish off with a reduced fill rate near the end to allow for material level seeking or bubble prevention.
Beading in conjunction with a motion system or robot, are coordinated with the rate of application to produce a consistent bead size regardless of bead path complexity.
Specifications of the Electronic Controls are as follows: * Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1500 Programmable Controller with enhanced processor.
* Compact, digital, integrated servo drive with closed loop position and velocity control provides precise control of flow rate and volume dispensed.
* Brushless servo-motor with multi-turn absolute encoder feedback, brake, and keyed output shaft.
Absolute encoder provides continuous position information to the drive, eliminating the need for switches and homing routines.
* 150mm colour LCD TouchScreen operator interface provides status information and full manual control of all functions.
Also provides password protected screens for set-up, calibration and maintenance.
