Metering pump allows ultrafine adjustments

Exclusive to Integrated Dispensing Systems, the Vmp is billed as the latest in precision stepper motor driven valveless metering pumps.

Exclusive to Integrated Dispensing Systems, the Vmp is billed as the latest in precision stepper motor driven valveless metering pumps.

The Vmp uses a well know and industry proven FMI precision stepper motor driven valveless metering pump coupled to a second stepper motor.

This allows for ultrafine adjustments to be made to the shot size by changing the stroke length of the pump electronically.

Users can fine tune the shot to specific needs.

No external power or air is needed.

The system can be free-standing or can be integrated into an existing system.

The variable shot is accomplished through the clever use of two independently controlled stepper motors.

No tools are needed and there are no dials to adjust, removing the chance of mistakes.

One stepper motor adjusts the shot volume by changing the angle of the pump head lengthening or shortening the stroke of the pump - on standard FMI pumps this is done manually by turning a lead screw.

The second stepper motor controls the FMI valveless pump, dispense speed and frequency of the shot.

Features include: ultrafine adjustment (0.0144ul per step); high chemical compatibility (ceramic and fluorocarbon fluid path); high duty cycle (tested to 84 million cycles); easy setup by electronic controller; storage for 100 programs; foot switch or remote start; stand alone or panel mounting; and the ability to gang systems together for meter mixing and multiheaded dispensing.

The XL controller makes changing setups easy.

The user-friendly touch screen provides simple entry functions to adjust the shot volume, how many cycles required to achieve the desired shot volume and speed of shot.

With 100 stored programs, users can change between setups on the fly.

For a more graphical interface a Palm Zire can be used to program a single pump or every pump on the line.

Data can be backed up to the Palm and transferred to a computer for safe storage.

A password function can also be used to prevent the program from being changed by an operator.

Coming soon is an OEM version of the pump with all the electronics onboard.

It will be programmed with a Palm, PLC or computer.

Multiple pumps will be able to be chained together and programmed via local intranet.
