The closing date for nominations is Wednesday, 31st July 2002.
The prize is awarded annually by the IEE (Institution of Electrical Engineers), Europe's largest professional engineering organisation, and sponsored by the National Physical Laboratory, the UK's national standards laboratory, whose primary task is the provision and dissemination of physical measurement standards and the techniques for their effective use.
The prize is open to anyone who has contributed in a significant way to the practice of measurement.
Individuals or groups may nominate themselves.
Alternatively, organisations, or those with some knowledge of the contribution to measurement of an individual or group are invited to make a proposal.
The Prize will be awarded at the IEE Measurement Event in London on Wednesday 11th December 2002.
