ITIC 2006 attracts wide range of speakers

The 2nd International Technology and Innovation Conference will be held at the Institution of Engineering and Technology on 11th and 12th October 2006.

The importance of encouraging innovation and of understanding the implications that change has on the working culture, people, processes and managers involved in it is to be the focus of the 2nd International Technology and Innovation Conference (ITIC 2006) to be held by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

The conference, which will take place on 11th and 12th October 2006 at the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Savoy Place, London has attracted a wide range of speakers from industry and commerce including Managing Director of Microsoft in the UK, Gordon Frazer.

Talking about the importance of the conference Frazer said: "Solid leadership is critical to the success of any business or organisation, and it is also pivotal to the wellbeing of the UK economy".

"The UK has a great reputation for the quality of its leaders, but the global business environment is changing rapidly and we cannot afford to become complacent".

"We need to be doing all we can to nurture the leaders of tomorrow, and to make sure they have the right qualities, skills and support to allow them to maintain the UK's position of leadership in the global IT industry".
