As more and more organisations recognise the strategic importance of data, there is growing interest and investment in methods to derive business value by exchanging data between control systems and the rest of the business.
However, business and manufacturing or production have very different perspectives on the data, different time horizons, different expectations of data quality, and often different names for the same elements and the same name for different elements.
This problem leads to bespoke implementation of integration projects and, almost inevitably, compromise in the balance of cost, budget and functionality.
Flexibility and interoperability are often sacrificed in favour of cost and delivery.
The two worlds speak completely different languages.
This seminar will provide an overview and update on the S95 standards, and then through end-user and vendor case studies, will present a practical illustration and opportunity to understand how the standard can be applied in many different types and sise of business.
Delegates will gain a practical understanding of a set of standards which will simplify the integration of production and manufacturing systems with the supply chain.
The standards are based on generic business models and apply in all continuous and discrete manufacturing and process industries.
Presentations include case studies from end-users which have delivered significant business value, balanced by leading vendors showcasing the potential of the standards when applied through different technology platforms.
One of the world's leading consultants in the field will present an update on developments in the S95 standards and illustrate the reasons with examples drawn from application experience. Request free introductory details about products from Institution of Engineering and Technology ...
