CIRED 2009 expo set for June 2009

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has announced that the CIRED electricity conference and exhibition will take place on 8-11 June at the Prague Congress Centre.

CIRED is an international event and is organised alternately by the IET and the Association des Ingenieurs sortis de L'Institut d'Electricite Montefiore (AIM).

1,072 abstracts from more than 50 countries were submitted for consideration for CIRED 2009, and some 700 papers will be presented over three days, through formal presentations, roundtable discussions, special reports and poster presentations.

The CIRED conference provides delegates with an opportunity to learn, discuss and exchange experience about the major structural, technical, managerial and regulatory changes affecting the industry.

A technical exhibition associated with the conference will also take place.

Exhibiting companies from more than 50 organisations, including Siemens, ABB, GE Energy, Kema and Dutch Power, across 53 countries will attend.

CIRED 2009 is sponsored by Phase To Phase, Areva T and D, Enel, T and D Europe and CSRES.
