Bemlap by Stephen Kirkup is a package for solving a range of Laplace problems by the boundary element method (BEM).

Bemlap by Stephen Kirkup is a package for solving a range of Laplace problems by the boundary element method (BEM).

The package consists of a suite of Fortran source codes.

Laplace problems arise in electrostatics, heat conduction modelling and groundwater flow.

The BEM is a powerful solution method in that only the surfaces of the domain need to be meshed.

The Bemlap package consists of codes for two-dimensional (2D), 3D and axisymmetric problems for interior, exterior domains (including exterior to "thin" structures).

The Bemlap manual is included with the codes on a CD and costs $199.
