IEI Technology's UPC Series is a 12.1/15in high performance panel PC with smart battery backup, which allows users to monitor and manage the battery's status directly through the user interface.
The UPC-12A boasts a 12.1in XGA LCD screen with sunlight-readable 1000 nits screen option.
The UPC's battery packs eliminate the risks from sudden mains power loss, allowing flexible integration into a variety of applications.
The UPC-12A single-core computing series is designed for embedded performance-grade applications.
It features an Intel GM45/910GMLE/915GME chipset, providing total compatibility in a variety of high performance and lower power industrial control applications.
The UPC series also provides many expansion interfaces, including a standard 32-bit PCI slot for a PCI add-on card and a PCIe Mini card socket for a PCIe Mini card such as a wireless module.
The UPC-12AH includes a sunlight-readable 1000 nits option for high brightness applications such as outdoor ATM machines or military use.
All of the UPC series models are made with rugged die-cast aluminium enclosures.
The aluminium enclosures cool the system, helping to dissipate heat and reducing the need for fans.
The UPC series features the high-speed Wi-Fi IEEE 802.
n protocol, which builds on the 802.11 standard by adding multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and 40 MHz operation to the physical (PHY) layer.
MIMO uses multiple transmitter and receiver antennas to improve the system performance.
The 40 MHz operation uses wider bands compared with legacy 20 MHz bands, supporting higher data rates.
Wider bandwidth channels are cost effective and easily accomplished with moderate increases in digital signal processing.
The UPC series is equipped with a rechargeable intelligent battery that can power the UPC-12A for 40 to 60 minutes.
This smart battery backup can be used as a power bank for mobile installations and power protection for critical environments.
The UPC series is designed for mobile equipment such as lift trucks, ATM machines, medical carts, order-pick carts and warehousing and distribution.
