Delo's range of Metalix adhesives for the Autosport industry have been qualified and used by the automotive industry to repair castings for several years.

They are also used in several manufacturing and heavy industry applications.

The Metalix range consists of three products, all of which are polyester-based two-part room-temperature-cured (the addition of heat significantly reduces the cure time) and filled with aluminium, minerals or steel.

All three have good chemical stability and a long term use temperature range from -50 to +180C.

Although the products have an optimal mixing ratio, this can be varied to adjust the flow properties and colour according to the application.

Once applied the adhesives can be milled, lathed or ground within 1h.

Autosport application areas so far include the repair and modification of magnesium alloy castings and machined parts.

Other possible uses include: repairing shorts and voids in castings, modifying prototype castings, removing leaks from pipelines and containers, smoothing and sealing of weld joints, repairing damaged cavities and anywhere that welding is not possible.

The Inseto adhesives product range also includes: light-cured and light-activated acrylics and epoxies, anaerobics, cyanoacrylates, silicones, polyurethanes and a range of dispensing equipment.
