IFM's new OG Wet-Line products are available in through-beam, retro-reflective, diffuse reflection and background-suppression versions, all of which offer extended sensing ranges, combined with total operating stability over a temperature range of -20 C to +80 C.
The sensors are manufactured from food-grade materials, and feature smooth, shatter-proof lens covers which resist the build-up of contaminants.
For ease of adjustment, OG Wet-Line sensors incorporate IFM's renowned touch-to-teach setting technology.
Users simply press a button once with the target in place, then again with no target, and the sensor automatically adjusts itself for optimum performance.
Three LEDs are provided to confirm correct setting, and to show the status of the supply and the sensor output.
OG Wet-Line sensors are suitable for operation from DC supplies in the range 10 to 30V, making them equally suitable for use on nominal 12V and 24V systems.
The units are designed for three-wire connection, and each has a single short-circuit, overload and reverse-polarity protected PNP output, which is user-selectable as light-on or dark-on.
