Control 3-phase motors from AS-i
fieldbus systems
Among new control products from IFM are the Moviswitch and Movimot modules, which allow SEW Eurodrive three-phase motors with ratings up to 3kW to be controlled directly by AS-i fieldbus systems
New additions to the range of products available from IFM Electronic mean that the company is now able to offer innovative and money-saving solutions for virtually every application in conveying and mechanical handling installations The new products - and the many existing IFM products which are ideal for mechanical handling applications - are all backed by expert technical advice and guidance from the IFM application support team, which has wide experience in meeting the specific requirements of the mechanical handling industry

Low prices, speedy installation on opto sensors
Low prices, speedy installation and easy adjustment are just some of the key benefits which make the new OL range of opto sensors from IFM Electronic an attractive and cost-effective choice
Among the new control products which IFM has recently introduced are the Moviswitch and Movimot modules, which allow SEW Eurodrive three-phase motors with ratings up to 3kW to be controlled directly by AS-i fieldbus systems; AS-i air boxes, which provide all of the functions needed to control a pneumatic actuator in a single unit; compact RMU and RMV absolute shaft encoders with built-in Profibus DP interfaces; and pulse evaluation modules which provide an easy way of monitoring speed and belt slip.
IFM has also introduced new sensing products for conveying applications, including the revolutionary Efector M range of inductive proximity sensors.
These cylindrical units typically have a sensing range which is 2.4 times greater than a conventional sensor with a similar body size.

Don't let damaged proxies bring down the line
Modern proximity switches are extremely reliable, but they're not immune to mechanical damage which can lead to costly downtime.
They also feature robust one-piece construction, and are available in 48 different versions, ensuring a perfect match for every sensing requirement.
Recently introduced for applications requiring opto sensors are compact OJ-series products.
These tiny sensors measure just 24.5 x 34.5 x 11mm, yet are available in a wide range of types, including laser models.
For maximum versatility and convenience, all types are offered in versions with the lens located on the front or the side of the housing.
In spite of their diminutive size, OJ opto sensors offer outstanding performance - through-beam laser sensors in the range can, for example, detect targets as small as 0.8mm diameter at ranges of up to 5000mm.
