Six new flush-mountable inductive proximity sensors with M12 and M18 bodies, which are specifically designed to withstand the rigours of food-industry applications, are among the latest additions to IFM Electronic's highly successful no-compromise Efector M range Also new and ideal for food-industry use are Efector M sensors with M30 bodies, which are available in both flush-mounting and non-flush-mounting versions

Gateways take control of AS-i slaves
AS-i gateways come with M4 master profile support for all AS-i slaves from specifications 1.0 to 3.0.
Capacitive sensors can see through walls
Sensors from are optimised for the detection of conductive media through nonmetallic walls or on bypasses.
All of the new sensors have corrosion-resistant stainless-steel bodies, with food-friendly PEEK sensing faces.
They offer an IP69K protection rating, making them suitable for use in even the most arduous environments, and they can operate continuously in ambient temperatures of up to 100 C without compromising performance or reliability.
Full compatibility with CIP operations is assured.

Stainless steel sensors survive metal contact
The R series will last significantly longer than conventional sensors and the coating will withstand the abrasion for longer than conventional coatings.
Stainless steel housings protect proximity sensors
The new additions to IFM Electronic's efector T series are probably the only all-stainless steel sensors with an operating temperature as high as 100C.
The new sensors offer all of the established benefits of the Efector M range, including ultra-stable operation, exceptional reliability and extended sensing ranges compared with traditional sensors of the same body size.
M12 flush-mountable models, for example, have a nominal sensing range of 3.5mm, while the corresponding figures for M18 and M30 models are 5mm and 12mm respectively.
M30 non-flush models have a nominal sensing range of 22mm.
To ensure electrical compatibility with virtually every installation, the new sensors are offered as universal models, which can be connected as three-wire PNP or two-wire PNP/NPN devices, and as economical three-wire PNP-only models.
Outputs are fully protected against reverse polarity and overload.
For ease of adjustment, IFM Electronic's new Efector M sensors are equipped with a set-up LED which confirms that the target is within the reliable sensing range, and a status LED which provides instant visual confirmation of the output state.
Connections to the sensors are made with industry-standard M12 connectors, and the contact pins within the sensors themselves are gold-plated to ensure maximum reliability.
IFM Electronic specialises in the application of advanced electronic technology to produce innovative and effective solutions for industrial control applications.
Products include flow sensors; pressure transmitters and switches; temperature switches and transmitters; capacitive, inductive and photoelectric proximity sensors; and a full range of AS-i I/O modules and masters.
IFM is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from IFM products. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
