Level sensor resists soiling and foaming
effects
The compact new LI electronic level sensor from IFM Electronic is designed to provide ultra-reliable level detection in almost any liquid
The compact new LI electronic level sensor from sensing and control specialist, IFM Electronic is ideally suited to monitoring limit levels in applications where, for example, over-filling a vessel could result in environmental damage Designed to provide ultra-reliable level detection in almost any liquid, LI sensors are resistant to oils, coolants and lubricants, and their operation is highly resistant to the effects of soiling and foaming

Gateways take control of AS-i slaves
AS-i gateways come with M4 master profile support for all AS-i slaves from specifications 1.0 to 3.0.
Capacitive sensors can see through walls
Sensors from are optimised for the detection of conductive media through nonmetallic walls or on bypasses.
The new sensors can be supplied with rod lengths of 132mm, 273mm, 481mm and 737mm, and are complemented by a range of mounting adaptors to suit all standard vessels.
The installation depth of the sensor, and thus its operating level, is easily and precisely defined by using a clamp, allowing sensors of a single length to cover a wide range of requirements.
Microprocessor-controlled adjustment, which automatically takes into account the characteristics of the working medium, is carried out with a simple pushbutton system, and correct operation is confirmed by three status indicator LEDs.
Fully electronic in operation, the new sensors have no moving parts and are, therefore, totally unaffected by wear, or by mechanical obstruction.
In addition, they exhibit outstanding immunity to the electrical interference caused by, for example, inverter drives, mobile telephones and electrostatic discharges.
These features guarantee dependable operation for IFM Electronic's LI level sensors, which are approved as meeting the stringent requirements of the German over-spill standard WHG, section 19.
This approval allows them to be used to protect against spillage resulting from the over-filling of vessels containing potentially harmful liquids.
LI level sensors are designed for operation from DC supplies in the range 10V to 36V, and have a single, fully protected solid-state output rated at 250mA.
Connections to the units, which have an IP67 protection rating, are made via an industry-standard M12 connector. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
