Proximity switches show their mettle for
welding
A new range of proximity sensors from IFM Electronic's Efector M Series can now deal with all the problems associated with welding.
A new range of proximity sensors from IFM Electronic's Efector M Series can now deal with all the problems associated with welding First, the sensing range is greater to prevent mechanical damage, and the new range from IFM Electronic will sense the same distance whatever the metal - so no more problems with aluminium
Secondly, they are PTFE-coated and the sensing face is made from a highly durable thermoset to cope with weld splatter.
Thirdly, the circuits are hardened against interference from electromagnetic fields.
Standard cylindrical sizes are available in M12, M18 and M30.
The enhanced sensing distance means the M12 will sense 8mm even on nonferrous targets.
Also available is a compact rectangular unit, sensing up to 35mm in any one of five directions. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
