Monitor watches for over- and underspeed
The programmable M18 compact speed monitor is designed for rotational speed applications up to 18,000 pulses per minute.
The compact speed monitor incorporates the sensor and the speed monitoring in one housing.
The housing allows mounting in small machines with only little space for sensors.
It is suitable for use with a PLC.
This unit lets the user set the parameters, switch point, start-up delay and output function.
When the teach button is pressed, the current speed is measured, the switch point is calculated and stored.
The start-up delay can be set individually.
It is adjustable in the range of 0 to 15s in steps of 1s, thus avoiding any error message during the start-up of the drive.
The output function can be selected to be normally closed or normally open.
The standard speed monitor is a three-wire unit with a nominal voltage range of 10 to 36V DC.
It can be used for operating temperatures of -20 to +60C.
The maximum damping frequency is 18,000pulses/min, the setting range is 3 to 6000pulses/min.
The housing made of metal and plastic guarantees protection rating IP67 and protection class II. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
