Photocells use high-grade stainless steel for applications in harsh environmental conditions in conveyor and packaging technology, while providing increased robustness for everyday tasks.

The Og range of M18 photocells from IFM Electronic uses high-grade stainless steel.

The photocells are suitable for applications in harsh environmental conditions as can be found in conveyor and packaging technology, while providing increased robustness for everyday tasks.

Just launched at Hanover 2006, the diffuse reflection sensors with background suppression cover 10 to 250 mm, with a potentiometer for setting the sensitivity.

The variant with polarisation filter provides ranges between 30 and 4000mm, and the through-beam sensor reaches up to 20m.

All sensors use visible red light, which simplifies alignment.

Using industrial standard M12 connectors, the protection rating of the photocells is IP65 or IP67.

All sensors can be used on a 10 to 36V DC supply.

The outputs are protected against short circuit and overload as well as reverse polarity.

The switching frequency of 1kHz allows reliable detection of fast processes.

There are various mounting options for easy and secure installation.
