The new PK7 series electronic pressure switch with an easy-to-read scale is a boon for volume manufacturers of hydraulics and pneumatics, saving time and money to install.

Yet another cost-effective alternative to troublesome mechanical pressure switches, the new version of the popular PK pressure switch from sensor market leader IFM Electronic now offers the user two separate outputs.

Rugged and easy to use, the new PK7 is suitable for both with liquids of gases.

The high bursting pressure (1600bar on the 400bar model) guarantees maximum safety, while the welded measuring cells provide over 50 million reliable switching cycles.

Ingeniously simple to set, the new PK7 series electronic pressure switch with an easy-to-read scale is a boon for volume manufacturers of hydraulics and pneumatics, saving time and money to install.

The PK7 will give great long-term performance with highly repeatable switch points, even over 50 million cycles.

Another advantage for OEMs is the ability to set the PK7 without system pressure by simply turning the dial to the desired switch point.

As well as being easy to set, the PK7 can also be locked to avoid accidental adjustment and has LEDs to show the status of power and outputs, of which there are now two normally open positive-switching, both rated at 500mA.

Available versions cover pressure ranges from 0 to 10, 100, 250 or 400bar for media between -25 and +80C.

The electrical connection is a standard M12 connector, while process connections are standard 0.25in fittings.

All other features, such as IP67 seal, robust housing, high EMC level, full protection of the electronics from short-circuits or overloads, are of the highest standards expected of IFM Electronic.

For many years IFM pressure sensors have provided trouble-free operation with their robust ceramic-capacitive and steel measuring cells.

Now, with the uprated PK7, IFM Electronic has introduced more flexibility, of benefit to OEMs and users alike.
