Diffuse laser sensor offers 10m range

Thanks to the PMD technology it is possible to implement a diffuse type laser sensor with a range of 10 m and background suppression in a compact housing.

Thanks to the PMD technology it is possible to implement a diffuse type laser sensor with a range of 10m and background suppression in a compact housing Applications for the efector pmd O1D101 range from simple counting tasks to assembly monitoring

Visible laser light allows easy alignment with the target object.

The light spot diameter is only 6mm for the maximum range.

A four-digit alphanumeric LED display indicates the exact distance to the object or background.

The user can set the PNP semiconductor output to normally closed or normally open.

The heart of the sensor is the PMD chip.

This is an innovative on-chip time-of-flight measurement system.

The transmitter and receiver are integrated on one chip.

This allows compact housing dimensions of just 42 x 45 x 52mm.

The PMD technology was awarded the Hermes Award 2005 international technology prize. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
