With their IP68/IP69K protection rating and stainless-steel housing, Processline input modules from IFM Electronic are suited for applications in areas subject to extreme cleaning conditions.

The latest addition to the Processline family takes direct input of four separate 4 to 20mA analogue signals from two- or three-wire process sensors and converts them into digital information that the two-wire AS-interface can handle.

Tested by complete immersion in alkaline and acid cleaning and disinfecting agent for 28 days, these AS-i slave modules are also subjected to a water jet of 80 to 100 bar at a temperature of 80C from 15cm.

The housing design prevents fluids from pooling on the surface, and the raised mounting position keeps all sides accessible for cleaning.

Status and diagnostics are displayed by LED's powerful enough to be seen under all conditions.
