IFM launches submersible pressure transmitters

An IFM Electronic product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 9, 2008

IFM Electronic has launched a new range of submersible pressure transmitters, the PS3 series.

The PS3 series is designed for such applications as level measurement in tanks and vessels, wells and boreholes, and wastewater treatment plants.

The analogue output signal of 4...20mA and the use of the two-wire technology means the PS3s can be easily integrated into control systems.

Reliability in the application is ensured with the housing and the sensor diaphragm made of stainless steel and an overall IP68 protection rating.

With available pressure ranges of 0...0.25, 0...0.6 or 0...1 bar levels equivalent of up to ten metres of water column can be measured.

An internally vented cable is provided for pressure compensation to atmosphere.

The transmitters are supplied with fixed cable lengths of 3m, 10m or 12m, and optional accessories allow suitable fitting to the measuring location.
