IFM has released a multicode reader capable of verifying a correct code.

The O2I will find and read up to 10 codes in the field of view simultaneously, at any orientation, and tranmit the code content by Ethernet or RS232 back to the control system.

It also features a 'point and shoot' installation with a built-in laser pointer.

The interface software for setup is freely downloadable from IFM.

The O2I is available with three different lenses, for fields of view ranging from 20mm x 14mm at 50mm distance right up to 400mm x 300mm at 2m.

It is designed for industrial use, with its robust metal housing and industry-standard connectors, and can be installed using high-quality stainless steel mounting sets.

Illumination is integrated, but external lighting can also be used if the application demands it.

The O2I is capable of reading or verifying some of the most complex dot-peened codes under difficult circumstances, such as shiny surfaces.
