IFM adds M8 proximity sensor to R series

An IFM Electronic product story

The IFM Electronic R series inductive sensor range has been enhanced with the addition of the M8 size.

The R series is suitable for use when welding, where sheet-metal panels hitting the switches and molten metal splashing on all surfaces can cause problems for plastic sensors.

The R series housing is made of stainless steel and features a robust sensing face.

The coating can be wiped clean and can be baked onto the housing at high temperatures.

The EVW range of M12 connectors, which features the same non-stick coating on the coupling nut, complements these robust sensors.

The new R series M8, the IER200, provides a sensing range of 2mm flush mounted, with all-round visibility of the output LED.

There is also a green LED for power on or ready-status indication.
