IFM unveils cabled O4 range for long-range tasks

An IFM Electronic product story

IFM Electronic has launched the cabled O4 range for very long-range applications.

Experience has shown that photoelectric sensors do not need to be changed often, especially the longer-range versions mounted out of harm's way, so a cabled option can be an attractive one.

These long-range photocells with an integral 2m PUR cable are ideal for use in wood, paper and automotive industries, transport and conveying, steel processing.

The sensing ranges on offer are suitable for long distances or to power through dusty of steamy atmospheres.

A range of 80m from the O4E/O4S through beam pair covers the greatest distance, while the O4P retro-reflective version reaches 22m.

The powerful visible red light facilitates setup.

The O4H diffuse unit will detect an object and tune out the background at a range of up to 2.6m.

All these new units in the O4 range feature pushbutton settings to facilitate setup and to help maintain the IP67 seal.

The pushbutton is also used to select light/dark operation and to operate the electronic lock facility.

A range of mounting accessories - including steel covers - is offered to help install and protect the sensors.

Operating on 10VDC to 36VDC, the O4 range will switch a 20mA load or PNP.
