IFM Electronic's cabled O5 range of photoelectric sensors is aimed typically at packaging or conveying, but is an ideal all-round sensor for many other areas where this size is popular.
A 2m PUR cable is the main feature of the new range.

Good sensing ranges are offered, starting with the O5H diffuse unit, which is able to distinguish a target from its background 1.8m away with precision.
The O5P retro-reflective version covers 10m, or more on a reflector larger than 80mm diameter, while the O5E/O5S through-beam units can be mounted 25m apart.
Visible red light makes alignment easy even over these long distances, and the pushbutton adjustment ensures that the sensitivity is ideal for the job.
The pushbutton is also used to select light/dark operation and to operate the electronic lock facility.
A range of mounting accessories including steel covers is offered to help install and protect the sensors.
Operating on 10-36VDC, the O5 range will switch a 200mA load, PNP with an environmental protection rating of IP67.
