Pressure transmitters suit hydraulic applications

An IFM Electronic product story

IFM Electronic has introduced a range of pressure transmitters for hydraulic controls.

The PT series is IP69K sealed and comes in two versions intended for use in industrial or mobile applications.

The PT sensor series is particularly suitable for use in mobile machines where hydraulics form the heart of the machine.

The PT sensor series is particularly suitable for use in mobile machines where hydraulics form the heart of the machine.

Equally suited to other hydraulic or pneumatic applications with high operating pressures, the PT series features a stainless-steel measuring cell directly welded within the housing, so there is no requirement for a further seal to be in contact with the medium.

Featuring high vibration and shock resistance, the high protection rating and the EMC resistance, the PT sensor series is suitable for use in mobile machines where hydraulics form the heart of the machine.

This is also reflected in the five different pressure spans available in the PT, starting at 0-10bar and extending up to 0-400bar.

The latter can withstand a 600bar maximum (overload) pressure.

While the EMC characteristics of the industrial PT series conform to five categories of the generic EN61000 standard, the noise immunity of the mobile units is e1 compliant in accordance with the 95/54/EC, 04/104 EC and 05/83/EC automotive directives.

The PT series of transmitters is available with either a 4-20mA current output or a 0-10V signal.

Sensor accuracy is better than one per cent and repeatability exceeds 0.1 per cent.

Process connection is via G 1/4 fitting and the electrical connection uses the industry-standard M12, for which the company offers a range of compatible connectors for the same environment.
