The Process and Building Solutions division of Intergraph Corporation today announced the 5.1 version of INtools instrumentation engineering software.
SmartPlant Markup provides precision viewing and nondestructive markup of CAD and raster formats including MicroStation, AutoCAD (DWG, DXF), Intergraph raster, SmartPlant P and ID 3.0 and SmartSketch files.
The original authoring software is not required on the user's PC.
The Plus version adds display and markup capabilities for more than 150 file types, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet.
SmartPlant Markup allows users to annotate, redline and otherwise mark up drawings and documents without altering or destroying the originals.
Users can create multiple layers of markup which include colour text and symbols, lines, circles, arrows, rectangles, and so on.
Video and sound annotation is supported as well.
Product benefits include efficient and cost-effective collaboration for design, construction, operation and maintenance.
SmartPlant Markup functions both as a stand-alone package and in integrated environments with Directa, SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Explorer 3.4.
New features of SmartPlant Markup v3.1 include: hot spot functionality; ability to set an access condition for each markup layer/file; ability to lock markup layers once comments are completed; added toggle to allow mini-overview to stay "always on top"; ability to supply and use a default configuration irrespective of how the SmartPlant Markup session is initiated; display and Markup of MicroStation V8 files supported, using CSI viewer; and fixes to many reported problems.
