Linear bearing system gets locking
carriage

The latest development of the highly successful DryLin T linear bearing system is to have a locking carriage A simple clamp on the side of the slide carriage enables the user to lock the carriage at any point along the guide rail

This locking mechanism is useful if a machine guard must be held closed for safety reasons.

Also, if a machine has to be transported the carriages can be locked in place to prevent damage to machinery.

The locking carriages are available in all the four sizes of the DryLin T system which are directly interchangeable with conventional rolling element linear bearings.

However, DryLin bearings offer a number of significant advantages including no lubrication, quiet running, dirt and abrasion resistance, no corrosion, light weight and resistance to shocks and vibration.

Also, DryLin T represents a cost saving over traditional bearings - you really do get more for less! The hard anodised aluminium slide rail is available from stock in lengths of up to four metres, and separate rails can be butted up for long travel applications.

Extremely high loads and high speeds are possible - far in excess of those achieved by the best rolling element bearings.

The locking carriage is available now from stock, please call us to discuss your application. Request a free brochure from Igus UK ...
