Small, light and quiet claims for linear
bearings
When a small, lightweight, quiet running, high-speed linear bearing system is required, Igus reckons its new TK-04 range offers the complete solution.

Linear bearing system gets locking carriage
The latest development of the highly successful DryLin T linear bearing system is to have a locking carriage, useful if a machine guard must be held closed for safety reasons
All the advantages offered by a miniature linear ball bearing system remain, with additional advantages to be considered.
The smaller the linear bearing, the lower the cost.
This alone should hold serious considerations for customers, especially in times of tight budget constraints.
The basic components (hard anodised aluminium rails, Iglidur J polymer sliding strips and cast carriages) are maintenance free, dirt repelling and chemically resistant.
The replaceable polymer sliding elements achieve excellent friction and wear values, without lubrication.
An important consideration in applications such as packaging machinery, laboratory equipment and the electromechanical industry, is low noise.
DryLin TK-04 linear bearings have no moving parts and run significantly quieter than comparable ball-bearing systems.
The need for extremely high accelerations and travel speeds, both of which are achievable using the DryLin T system, is also of particular interest to these industries.
It is not only the chemical industry that can benefit from the chemical resistance and corrosion free properties of this linear system, and the fact that there is no need for lubrication means that DryLin TK-04 systems run maintenance free, eliminating any problems associated with dirt and dust being retained by lubricants.
The DryLin TK-04 linear system is offered in three sizes: TK-04-09, TK-04-12 and TK-04-15.
Due to the continuous, extensive testing of all linear products in the Igus laboratories, the lifetime expectancy of the system can be calculated for all applications.
All TK-04 products are available, ex-stock, from Igus (UK) in Northampton. Request a free brochure from Igus UK ...
