Small belt actuator works silently

An Igus UK product story

The DryLin ZLW-06-30 is suitable for handling lightweight loads and is practically silent and fast running.

Igus has extended its range of linear belt drive actuators with the launch of a smaller version of its DryLin ZLW drive.

The DryLin ZLW-06-30 weighs just 1kg and is 1m in length.

It is suitable for handling lightweight loads and is practically silent and fast running.

Despite its low weight, it is also extremely robust.

The original DryLin ZLW belt drive was the first positioning unit on the market to be fitted with polymer plain bearings.

It is maintenance-free, lightweight and can reach speeds of up to 2m/s.

The sliding elements are made of Igus' Iglidur J polymer and the bearings are injection moulded from Iglidur L250.

The housing parts are made of sturdy plastic and the profile is made of hard-coated aluminium.

All connecting screws are made of stainless steel.

A second version uses ball bearings for the deflection shafts, which makes higher traverse rates possible.

Apart from these bearings, this axis is also completely maintenance and lubrication-free due to the Iglidur high-performance polymer bearings used.
