Igus launches wear-resistant Iglidur compounds

Igus has launched the Iglidur J3 and Iglidur X6 compounds.
The Iglidur X6 uses nano particles that are up to six times more wear resistant at high temperature than Iglidur X, while the Iglidur J3 has a 300 per cent lower wear rate than Iglidur J.
The material researchers at Igus are continually developing better materials on the basis of material compounds
The company has also included details of around 250 customer examples on its website, showing how lubricant-free plain bearings can be used to save costs and improve technology, the company said.
