Software lets users create electrical plans
Computer-aided drawing entry level package lets users in the manufacturing market create electrical plans quickly and easily.
Software allows electrical harness design
SEE Electrical Harness PLM for Catia allows the creation of logical harnesses using data stemming from systems and digital mock-up designs.
It has become very popular worldwide, thanks to its three levels (basic, standard and advanced) and its upgradability, which allows the software to evolve in line with customers requirements.
In the 2005 version, many new features have been added in three main areas: communication, power and ergonomics.
In terms of communication, the translation function now enables a real-time lookup into the translation database.
This allows for very fast translations of entire projects.
A new import/export convertor has also been developed.
This convertor supports the import in various formats (DXF/DWG/DXB) and the export in DWF and SVG formats.
In order to facilitate teamwork, it is now possible to publish projects on the web, making sharing with subcontractors very easy and swift.
Next, in terms of power, signal handling features have been extended, and each signal can now be identified by a different wire number, text attribute, colour or line type (control, power etc).
The software package now handles multi stock terminals and provides visual displays of terminal blocks.
Among others, new PLC handling functions such as an input/output automatic numbering and a multiple operands check, increase significantly the power of the software package.
Hence, as far as extended ergonomics is concerned, the group has worked on several issues.
First, an advanced interface of the type database, enables the automatic insertion of key information into the components.
Secondly, cable management is now much easier, thanks to cable pages which automatically retrieve cable information.
In addition, creating symbols with CADdy++/SEE Electrical is now easier and faster than ever.
All these new functions show how the IGE+XAO Group has been listening to customers' needs, and has answered these needs with CADdy++/SEE Electrical new versions.
It also demonstrates how the IGE+XAO Group's expertise in high-end electrical CAD software packages can benefit its medium range products.
The 2005 version is now available in the following languages: English, German, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovenian,Turkish, Bulgarian, Czech and Greek.
