CSR Puzhen, a Chinese rolling stock manufacturer, has chosen SEE Electrical Harness software for the design of electrical wire harnesses.
CSR Puzhen (CSRPZ), a subsidiary of China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corporation, designs, manufactures and maintains passenger cars used in railways and vehicles for city traffic, as well as main parts and fittings for multiple unit cars.
SEE Electrical Harness software from IGE XAO allows CSRPZ to draw electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
With this software package, CSRPZ has been able to reduce the time spent on designing electrical wire harnesses.
SEE Electrical Harness is a computer-aided design (Cad) package dedicated to electrical harnesses design.
It includes complete management of signal, wires, cables and shielding.
It also automatically generates various lists such as equipment, wires, cables and products.
A key feature for CSR Puzhen was SEE Electrical Harness's capacity to exchange data with the design software Catia 3D through XML.
Data such as cable lengths can be exchanged through the XML gateway.
'SEE Electrical Harness saves time from a lot of repetitive work,' said Liang Shisong, engineering manager at CSR Puzhen.
