No fewer than 19 different specimens can be supported for hardness testing by a single fixture developed by Indentec.
The drive shaft is secured in the vee by a screw down clamp, which grips the hub off centre.
This leaves the top of the hub clear for any number of hardness tests along the upper centreline.
Internal hardness tests are made in the hub bore with the hub still in the fixture.
The shape of the indenter nose permits testing deep inside the bore, 50mm and more.
Indentec says that the special fixture can accommodate a range of hub diameters.
To speed and simplify testing, the machine itself incorporates a touchscreen for selecting operational, monitoring and data processing functions.
An alphanumeric keypad enables component files to be preselected for the automatic setting of specific test parameters.
