Indentec has solved the problem of securing large curved surfaces for hardness testing with a special fixture for Irish manufacturer True Temper Mounted on an Indentec digital tester, the quick-action fixture is designed to grip spades, shovels and post-holing implements for testing

The curved surfaces on the specimen are secured between self aligning three point supports on upper and lower clamping arms.

A hole in the upper arm provides access to the test area for the indenter as the machine's test table is raised and the test procedure initiated.

The fixture can accommodate a variety of differently sized and shaped tools.
