Information Handing Services (IHS) has acquired USA Information Systems (USAInfo).
Information Handing Services (IHS) has acquired USA Information Systems (USAInfo).
The move augments the world's largest published collection of engineering standards, military specs and parts logistics solutions from IHS, which has served worldwide engineering communities and customers for nearly 45 years.
"This acquisition is about industry leadership and customer choice", said Charles Picasso, President and COO, IHS.
"USAInfo has a successful track record of product innovation and customer focus and will be a complement to our existing logistics and government document products and services".

Under the agreement, the former USAInfo operations will continue in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and become part of the IHS brand, delivering essential technical documents and specifications, procurement, parts and vendor information to buyers, suppliers, designers, librarians and engineers worldwide.
All IHS documents, catalogues and integrated content are available to customers in online, electronic or print format by subscription, custom collection or single-document delivery methods.

In collaboration with over 450 of the world's leading standards developing organisations (SDOs) and select partners worldwide, IHS delivers: 1.3 million standards and specifications; 800,000 technical documents; 150 million part records; 25 million procurement history records; 9 million national stock numbers (current and historical); 500,000+ expanded supplier profiles; and nearly 600,000 manufacturer catalogues.
