Haystack is a comprehensive source of parts data, logistics and supplier information, and has served government and industry buyers/purchasers, vendors, designers, company librarians and engineers worldwide for over 20 years.
The new release called Haystack Gold contains more than 50 new features and enhancements.
Users can save time and increase productivity by searching for parts information, technical characteristics, and supporting documents, even with incomplete information or just a few characteristics to input.
Haystack enables quicker identification of NSNs (National Stock Numbers) and more than 100 million active and historical items in the Federal Supply Catalogue and over 40 US Army, Navy, Air Force and related databases, including National Forging Tooling Database (NFTD) and others.
Many older weapon systems and related parts reference back to historical NIINs (National Item Identification Number) that are only available in Haystack.
Haystack users are only a mouse click away from linking to the appropriate Military Spec or industry standard (active subscription required).
Hot links to Daily Government Surplus Sales and Daily Bids offer the opportunity to purchase essential supply items for, in some cases, pennies on the dollar.
For users with severe firewall restrictions, the new HTML version of Haystack works with common web browsers and any firewalls, dramatically improving speed and performance.
