Industrial Safety Integration is releasing Version 2 of its software package Corporate Industrial Risk and Safety Management Application (CIRSMA).

Industrial Safety Integration is releasing Version 2 of its software package Corporate Industrial Risk and Safety Management Application (CIRSMA), which has been created to aid industrial establishments in developing a consistent approach to analysing risk and defining appropriate risk reduction methodologies.

CIRSMA is a full-featured software package that can be used to analyse risk, assess guarding, and prescribe the level of training required to work in close proximity to hazardous industrial equipment.

In addition, the software includes a full document management module.

This feature enables companies to prepare long-term plans and set target dates for the implementation of remedial measures.

The release of CIRSMA V2.0.0 incorporates many new features and improvements that are based on international market requirements and customer feedback.

Additional features include: an improved graphical user interface; new reporting feature which provides powerful flexible reporting including pictures; reports can be exported to PDF and other image formats; the software is sold in four modules to suit customers' requirements; a free viewer is available to view, print and export data for all modules.

In addition, a new Task Hazard module can be used to define and document the assignment of personal protective equipment; the Task Hazard Module is integrated with the Risk Assessment Module.

International control circuit performance selection lists are based on EN954, ANSI/RIA 15.06, CSA Z432, CSA Z434, and ISO 13849-1.

There are also new fully integrated help files.

CIRSMA provides the user with pre-defined choices allowing the risk to be managed such that the responsibility for risk reduction measures can be distributed to either the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), integrator or the facility that will utilise the equipment.

By simply reviewing the remaining level of risk that is shown at the bottom of each section the user can plainly see the end result of the selections that have been made.

This program will assist the equipment designer or the equipment purchaser in managing the risks to which each company is exposed, as well as help to manage equipment and manpower expenditures at the design and commissioning stages.

Global trade has placed equipment manufacturers in a very challenging situation.

The equipment manufacturing community is receiving pressure from end user production facilities to provide formal risk assessment documentation.

The risk assessment often must be based on the regulations of the destination country rather than the country of origin.

CIRSMA provides a cost-effective method for creating and managing risk assessment documents by providing international control circuit performance selection lists based on EN954, ANSI/RIA 15.06, CSA Z432, CSA Z434, and ISO 13849-1.

Companies that manufacture equipment for the international market can take advantage of this opportunity to increase their market share by offering risk assessment documents as a component of the equipment technical file.

CIRSMA can provide a competitive advantage to production facilities that are facing increased costs due to rising insurance premiums and lost production time.

CIRSMA can enable companies to target equipment that poses the highest degree of risk.

This will allow a remediation plan to be developed and implemented before an accident occurs.
