The Institution of Incorporated Engineers is holding a weekend conference for young engineers to develop the essential management skills to oversee projects and develop products.

The event, sponsored by Alstom, BAE Systems, Cisco Systems, MBDA, Electrical Review and Electrical Times will be held at The University of Bath from 1st to 3rd April 2005.

Interactive workshops will boost delegates' confidence by enhancing their project management, communication, negotiation and presentation skills, while providing ample opportunities to team build, have fun and network.

The main focus of the weekend will be to refine an existing household item and come up with an innovative and practical solution for the market place.

This will enable delegates, while working in small teams, to put the skills they've learnt into practice in an informal and friendly environment.
