A career development weekend for young engineers will be held from 31st March to 2nd April at the University of Warwick.

The IIE 2006 Young Engineers' Career Development Weekend will be held from 31st March to 2nd April at the University of Warwick.

The weekend conference is aimed at developing essential management skills for young engineers sponsored by MBDA, Serco, Royal Mail, Electrical Times, Electrical Review, IMechE and IEE.

Interactive workshops will boost delegates' confidence by enhancing their process management, communication, negotiation and presentation skills, as well as providing ample opportunities to team build, have fun and network.

Placed into small teams, the main focus of the weekend will be to develop, refine and apply a process framework for solving engineering problems, while securing the team's needs as a key stakeholder in the development of a collaborative engineering project.

Delegates will also get hands-on experience of using Visio process management software.

Numbers are limited, and so early booking is recommended.
