In part of an extensive programme for growth, IAC of Winchester has expanded its industrial power team with the appointment of two new managers to head up the UK operation.

In part of an extensive programme for growth, IAC of Winchester has expanded its industrial power team with the appointment of two new managers to head up the UK operation These appointments will further fuel the inroads being made into the UK market of IAC Boet Stopson silencers manufactured by IAC's French subsidiary, IAC Boet Stopson, that continues to maintain its position as market leader in France

Gordon David brings with him over 25 years' experience of the noise control market to his new role of Business Development Manager - Power Products, with IAC.

In fact it is a "welcome back" to David, who spent 17 years with IAC from 1980 to 1997.

During his spell away he held Sales Director positions at IAC's major competitors, Sound Attenuators and Systems to Silence.

In this last position he doubled sales turnover, developed a blue chip customer base and secured valuable partnership agreements in both the UK and the Middle East.

Well known in the industry and a strong team leader he has unrivalled knowledge of the sector, David has ambitious plans for the new IACL Acoustic Container and Canopy product range, as well for the IAC Boet Stopson silencers in the UK.

He has already clinched over GBP 1 million of new business since his return.

Malcolm Hewitt has been appointed to the role of Manager - Industrial Silencers.

Hewitt joins IAC from industry rival Industrial Marine Silencers where he spearheaded a tripling of sales turnover in 6 years, with a high percentage of that in export sales.

He has been involved in the industrial silencer market for over 13 years and has a strong background in application engineering across filtration, heavy automotive and industrial products.

Hewitt brings a wealth of experience to his new position.
