More choice to compact linear slide range

An IKO Nippon Thompson product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 24, 2004

Three new models have been added to the range of the world's smallest precision linear slides made by IKO Nippon Thompson.

Engineers, designers and machine builders wanting the world's smallest precision linear slide units have greater choice given the introduction of three new BWU models by Milton Keynes based IKO Nippon Thompson.

The new BWU6-10, 6-20 and 6-30 slide units are 10, 20 and 30mm long, respectively.

Like the rails, all are manufactured from superior grade stainless steel for all construction elements which offers high temperature performance and superior corrosion resistance even under harsh operating environments.

With the common dimensions of just 2mm wide rail footprint, 6mm slide width plus 3.2mm overall height of the slide and rail combined, the miniature size of the BWU series is unrivalled by any competing product.

With manufacturing tolerance in the 1um range, quiet smooth travel is assured.

The BWU series is ideally suited to a host of medical and scientific equipment applications as well as instrument and engineering applications.
