Jargon buster cuts through the ATEX jungle
ABB has published an "ATEX jargon buster" that helps motor users cut through the jungle of terms and definitions that make up the new ATEX Directives.
By bringing together international buyers with suppliers from all over Asia, the conference will provide a complete industrial value chain portfolio, ranging from development to design and manufacturing to supply chain and distribution services.
IE Singapore is the lead agency spearheading Singapore's efforts to develop its external economic wing.
Through GATE04, IE Singapore will address buyer and purchasing agents of large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) from the automotive industry, computer and information technologies, electronics, semiconductor, and engineering industries.
The participants will have the opportunity to meet 500 to 700 Asian companies that meet their individual requirements.
"The Asian procurement market is extremely multifaceted, sometimes even a bit too complex for European and American companies", explains Timothy Toh, Director of IE Singapore, Frankfurt/Germany.
"In the last few decades, Singapore has established a dense trade connection net in South-East Asia and China".
"With events like GATE04, we want to open up this net especially for international manufacturers".
During registration, each participant can specify precise needs and projects.
Based on the prequalification, the organisers will arrange one-to-one meetings with the most suitable Asian suppliers.
This ensures personal contacts with suppliers of all industries, and provides end-to-end solutions for the complete value chain.
"This way, OEMs get the chance to meet, identify, and begin concrete negotiations with the most suitable partners from all over Asia in only one week", says Toh.
This method has proved successful, with some of the leading manufacturers participating at GATE04 to include ABB, Bosch, Honeywell, Leica, Motorola and Siemens.
GATE04 comprises a two-day conference and three days of prequalified one-to-one meetings for each participant.
For qualified buyers, the conference is free of charge.
