Independent glass processor uses one-stop shop in sourcing, stocking and supplying gas springs which are subsequently sold on as part of kits for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom cabinets.
Industrial Gas Springs (IGS) is providing independent glass processor Esquire Glass of Glossop with a one-stop shop in sourcing, stocking and supplying gas springs which are subsequently sold on as part of kits for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom cabinets.
"Esquire was originally buying its gas springs from another supplier", explains Field Sales Manager James Godbold.
"We offered a package that would add value for them by first sourcing the components then putting the gas springs, brackets and screws into bags; holding stock for them and supplying them against the Kan-ban schedule requirement".
The one-stop shop service offered by IGS simplifies the purchasing process for Esquire.
The company is now buying multiples of one kit rather than individual parts which then need to be packaged.
It also frees up a considerable amount of storage space; Esquire simply calls off kits when required to fulfil orders from their customers.
"This arrangement with IGS enables us to concentrate on our core business, that of supplying decorative glass panels complete with fixtures and fittings, to retailers of kitchen, bathroom and bedroom cabinets", says Managing Director Paul Lockett.
"We save time spent on the laborious bagging up of components and we can better control our stockholding, while our customers get quality product and faster turnaround".
