Industrial Measurements reckons its TFC torque transducer is a unique product.

Industrial Measurements reckons its TFC torque transducer is a unique product.

Strain-gauges are built into a spacer-coupling, using proprietary coupling elements and hubs to provide a complete torque measuring unit.

As the strain gauges are fixed to the inside diameter of the coupling and then sealed in, this data transmission system can be used in the presence of water, oil, grease and dust, making it ideal for any harsh test rig environments, for example large capacity pump testing.

No bearings are used, so the transducer is effectively maintenance free.

Hubs are parallel bored to customer's requirements prior to despatch.

Sizes are available up to 13,000Nm.

If heat is a problem, units can be supplied form 0 to 100C.

TFC units are currently in daily use at major pump manufacturers both domestically, and around the World.
