Strain-gauge input meter comes to hand
Torque-measuring specialist Industrial Measurements has added a new handheld meter to its extensive product range.
Since then, the company's direction has intentionally moved away from test rig manufacture to 100% specialisation in torque measurement.
Over the last 12 years, torque transducer types available have increased from 10 to 26.
Four of these have been introduced in the last few months: a new clamp-on system, a new rotary transducer and two new static torque cells, with more available soon.
In addition to these standard torque sensors, the company still offers special transducers, strain gauge bonding and transducer calibration services adding up to half its turnover.
Thanks to the Internet (and Engineeringtalk in particular), the company's customer base has widened in the last few years with notable increases in the USA, China and India.
Says Managing Director Terry Allen: "It's a good time to wish all our customers a Happy Christmas and profitable New Year, and thank them for their continued support".
